The new Asus 34-inch OLED gaming monitor is now available and packs a serious visual punch.
The annual CES event has come and gone, and like previous years, some tantalizing new pieces of PC hardware have arrived in its wake. Asus had plenty of gear to show off, and if you’ve been holding out for a new monitor, this new OLED display looks like a terrific option. For now, it’s available exclusively at Newegg and priced at $1,300. It’s worth pointing out that while Newegg has this monitor listed as a backorder item, it’s expected to arrive tomorrow, January 18, and it shouldn’t be long before your order arrives.
Out of the box, this 34-inch curved monitor has some impressive specs to make your gaming sessions pop. It has a 3,440 x 1,440 resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03ms response time. It’s G-Sync compatible so you won’t have to worry about screen-tearing. It contains multiple input ports (DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB-C) as well as a built-in Smart KVM switch with USB 3.2. The other neat feature on this build is a custom heatsink, which helps lower operating temperatures and reduces the risk of burn-in.
The panel has a peak brightness of 1,300 nits and is compliant with DisplayHDR True Black 400, so it should offer a vibrant picture with accurate light and dark colors.
Overall, this looks like one of the most compelling OLED gaming monitors to consider this year for your desktop upgrade. For a few more new additions to your PC family, you can also check out Newegg’s 25th Anniversary Sale for big discounts on graphics cards, prebuilt gaming PCs, and much more. It’s also worth noting that the brand-new Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Super graphics cards are now available at Newegg.
