A Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League player discovers a hidden reference to the popular character Peacemaker while exploring Metropolis, prompting many fans to wish that he was also part of the main roster. In large open world games such as Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, hidden Easter eggs are expected, especially being the next entry in the fan favorite Arkham franchise. Fans have already discovered a bunch, from a Gotham Knights-inspired clothing store, to out of universe references to other franchises like Halo.
As a live service title, developer Rocksteady Studios intends to continue growing the game with new content, which likely means more hidden things to find over time. In fact, the studio has already revealed a content roadmap for post-launch and has teased fans with new characters joining the Suicide Squad playable roster. While an Elseworlds variant of Joker has been confirmed for Season 1, fans have been left to guess who else could be joining later this year, with many popular guesses centered on Victoria Fries, Katana, Zoe Lawton, to Slade "Deadshot" Wilson. However, after discovering a pretty obvious reference in the game, fans are hoping another popular character makes the cut.
Over on the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League subreddit, a user named tatooveraa posted a screenshot of some graffiti they came across while exploring Metropolis. The wall art shows a bald eagle with the American Flag on its outstretched wings standing on top of a silver helmet with a tagline of a very specific DC character. The image is clearly in reference to Peacemaker, a character that has recently become incredibly popular thanks in large part to John Cena's portrayal in James Gunn's Suicide Squad movie as well as a TV series which debuted on HBO Max in 2022.
Fan Reactions to the Peacemaker Tease
Reactions to the discovery were pretty positive from the comments, especially those who enjoyed the main dance number for the TV show's intro. However, there were more than a few who wished that the anti-hero was actually part of the playable roster, with some even saying he would have made a better choice than Deadshot. Either way, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a live service game so there's always a chance that a character as popular as Peacemaker could be added sooner rather than later. For now, players will have to wait and see as the first wave of post-launch content is set to arrive in March with the Joker and Season 1.
