Epic unveils upcoming freebie for the next week
The Epic Games Store continues to give away a free game each week, and this week’s is another good one. Every Thursday at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET, Epic offers at least one free PC game (and sometimes even as many as two to three). All you need to do to claim the free games is create a free Epic account and enable two-factor authentication to start snagging freebies. You have a week to add the freebies to your library before the new one(s) take their place. At this point, Epic has given away hundreds of free games, and there’s no sign that the program will stop any time soon. We keep this article up to date weekly to highlight both the current free games and next week’s offerings.
Current free game at Epic
Available from now until February 1, the current free game is Infinifactory, a 2015 sandbox puzzle game developed by Zachtronics. You’re tasked with building factories for the aliens who rule the galaxy. Infinifactory’s campaign features more than 50 puzzles. While you’re building your factories, you’ll gradually unravel the story at the heart of this well-received sandbox game. It currently holds an “Overwhelmingly Positive” user rating average on Steam and regularly sells for $25.
Next free game at Epic
Next week, the free game at Epic will be Doors – Paradox. An escape-based puzzle game that ditches the stress, Doors – Paradox features a variety of different environments and time periods with the aid of a very handy guide. There are 58 different puzzles in all, and it’s a fairly recent game that typically sells for $15.
