Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has released update 1.14 for fans to download, which fixes a number of progression blocking bugs and other issues in the JRPG. Infinite Wealth launched on January 26 to critical acclaim, with a heavy amount of praise being given to the amount of activities available in the game. These activities include the Pokemon parody mode Sujimon, the Animal Crossing-esque island builder Dondoko Island, and everything else to find in Infinite Wealth's vast open world. With so much programming needed to maintain these activities, there are naturally some bugs that have slipped into the final release.
While the bugs found in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth vary depending on the gameplay, there are some that end up blocking a player's progression if the conditions are just right. Some of Infinite Wealth's bugs affect the different areas found in the game, such as Julie's Gearworks and Dondoko Island. The latest update released by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, 1.14, addresses these issues.
The latest patch notes posted by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio detail at least three different progression blocking bugs that were fixed in update 1.14. These include a bug that prevented progress after starting the tutorial in Julie's Gearworks, progression in the Sujimon Battle story events, and a story-related bug, where players wouldn't be able to progress after following certain steps in a tutorial battle event in Chapter 8 of Infinite Wealth.
Other bugs fixed in this update include one where the Self-Empowerment Challenge message would constantly appear during certain moments, as well as another that prevented the flag to darken the screen from triggering when the player enters Dondoko Island. There was also a bug that was related to two pieces of armor, the Super Slamwear and Megatron Pad, with this equipment bug tied to the aforementioned Self-Empowerment Challenge message continuously appearing.
This patch fixed a number of undescribed localization and quality/stability fixes, with the notes also mentiooning a bug in the Xbox and PC versions of Infinite Wealth that is currently being investigated, which involves searching for another person's Island in the Dodoko Island mode.
