Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be over 145GB in size, a reliable leaker has said. The same source also reported that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be getting a playable demo ahead of its release, in addition to sharing some more info about that trial version of the RPG.
The second entry in the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy is scheduled to hit the PlayStation 5 on February 29. Square Enix's efforts to market the game have hence been ramping up in recent weeks, with the Japanese gaming giant already treating fans to a bunch of high-res Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth screenshots and a new trailer since the turn of the year.
Despite that ongoing influx of information, one detail about the game that Square Enix has yet to officially disclose is its download size. But Twitter user PlayStationSize has just beat it to the punch, having revealed that FF7 Rebirth will weigh 145.25GB. That figure suggests the game will be nearly twice as big as Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, whose installation size was also leaked by this very same user ahead of the game's 2021 launch.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Trilogy Download Sizes
According to a recent update to the game's PlayStation Store page that has since been reverted, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will become available to preload on February 27, two days ahead of its debut. The 48-hour window should provide most fans with enough time to download the JRPG in advance so that they are able to play it from the moment it drops. That notwithstanding, this humongous download size establishes Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth as one of the top ten biggest PS5 games ever released.
