Meta Description: The leaked trophy lists for Tomb Raider 1-2-3 Remastered bring disappointing news for PS5 players, uncovering a drawback in the collection’s next-gen version.
Revised Description: Discover the latest update on the highly-anticipated Tomb Raider 1-2-3 Remastered collection, as leaked trophy lists surface online. Unfortunately, the leak sheds light on a disappointing drawback with the PS5 version of the game, leaving fans eager for more information. Delve into the details now.
When Tomb Raider 1-2-3 Remastered launches on February 14, it will give PlayStation gamers nearly 300 trophies to unlock, but there will be no Platinum trophies on PS5. Tomb Raider 1-2-3 Remastered is set to bring the original Tomb Raider trilogy to modern platforms with some big upgrades. The games are getting improved controls and graphical overhauls, along with modern features like trophy and achievement support.
Sometimes game collections combine all their trophies and achievements under one umbrella, but other times they are separated by each game in the collection. Tomb Raider 1-2-3 Remastered will have separate trophy lists for each game in the set. PS4 gamers can look forward to unlocking a Platinum trophy for the original Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider 2, and Tomb Raider 3, but those on PS5 will be missing out. In fact, it doesn't seem as though Tomb Raider 1-2-3 Remastered on PS5 has any Platinum trophy for players to unlock at all.
This unfortunate news was confirmed by Insider-Gaming, which revealed the full trophy lists for Tomb Raider-1-2-3 Remastered. Insider-Gaming noted that while the PS4 version of Tomb Raider-1-2-3 Remastered has Platinum trophies, the PS5 version does not. It's unclear exactly why this is, but it's an unfortunate revelation, to say the least. Hardcore trophy hunters may now be tempted to pick up the PS4 version of Tomb Raider 1-2-3 Remastered instead, even though they may be playing on a PS5.
The good news is that the experience should still be basically the same regardless if one is playing on PS4 or PS5. Trophy hunters would be missing out on some PS5 exclusive features, like DualSense's haptic feedback, but the general gameplay experience should still be the same regardless of platform. And while the collection's lack of any Platinum trophies may disappoint PS5 players, it otherwise seems like old-school Tomb Raider fans have a lot to look forward to on February 14.
Tomb Raider 1-2-3 Remastered lets players switch graphics from how the games looked decades ago to how they look with their new coat of paint. Not only that, but the collection features more than just the base games of Tomb Raider 1, 2, and 3. Fans will also be treated to the previously PC-exclusive expansions Unfinished Business, The Gold Mask, and The Lost Artifact which feature new levels for players to conquer.
