A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more information about the characters that are expected to join the playable roster in the upcoming updates. Since the Fontaine update arrived, developer HoYoverse has been introducing at least two characters in each of the following updates, with Navia and Chevreuse being the most recent additions.
Genshin Impact's social media accounts have already confirmed the arrival of two new characters for the next update, Xianyun and Gaming. While the game is yet to officially confirm their exact release dates, Travelers hope that the two will be placed on the same banner, allowing them to acquire both characters by pulling on a single banner.
While Xianyun and Gaming won't officially join the playable roster for at least two more weeks, new leaks have already given more details about five playable units that could arrive after them. A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has given more details about five new roster additions, including popular characters like Arlecchino and Clorinde. According to the leak, players can expect the following characters to join the roster in the foreseeable future:
Chiori
Sigewinne
Arlecchino
An unknown character
Clorinde
Previous leaks have also been hinting that Chiori will be released in the upcoming Genshin Impact update 4.5, and she is expected to be the only five-star character in that update. Regarding her role on the field, Chiori is expected to be an off-field support who has decent synergy with Mondstadt's famous alchemist, Albedo. This new Geo user will be able to buff all of her teammates upon triggering the Crystallize elemental reaction.
While there is a lot of hype around Chiori, the two most anticipated characters on this list are Arlecchino and Clorinde. Arlecchino is the main antagonist of the whole Fontaine arc, and she is one of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. Rumors claim that she ranks very high in this group, which makes her one of the most powerful characters in all of Teyvat.
Clorinde was featured in the first Fontaine teaser alongside many other characters who've already become part of the playable roster. She is confirmed to be the strongest of the Champion Duelists, which is a group of powerful fighters in the Hydro nation. While the leak did not reveal any info about the unknown character from the list, many fans suspect that it could be Emilie, a famous perfumer from Fontaine who was mentioned by other characters.
