About Who Invited You?

You're hosting. Not everyone here was invited.

Your house is full of guests. Some of them are parasites: perfect copies of people you invited. Same face, same name, same walk, same drink order. You will never spot one by watching it. The only thing that gives them away is evidence.

Three kinds of proof

  • Photos — taped to the fridge, hung on the wall, saved on the computer. Everyone who was really here is in one.
  • Messages — the invitation replies on the computer. Real guests answered.
  • Phone calls — open your contacts, call a name, and listen. If a phone rings somewhere in the house, that person exists.
One piece of evidence is a hint. Two are enough to put it to a vote. All three mean you're certain. But parasites carry forged evidence too — never all three, and never obviously fake.

Nobody gets thrown out alone

Accuse a guest and everyone else has to agree. Votes are public: the room sees who confirmed, who refused, and who said nothing. Get it wrong and you lose a real guest, take a strike, and the whole house goes quiet for a minute.

Some of them came with a job

  • The thief steals your evidence and silences phones. Catch him and everything comes back in his bag.
  • The bomber plants devices around the furniture. One is harmless. Three is not. Listen for the ticking — it speeds up.
  • The saboteur kills the generator and bursts the pipes, and leaves a trail on the floor if you look for it.
Catch one and it becomes a piñata hanging from your ceiling. Bring a bat.

One of you might not be on our side

In traitor mode one player knows exactly who the parasites are and spends the night protecting them — ordering bombs, covering for them, voting wrong. He also gets hungry, and slows down when he doesn't eat.

The house does not help

Lights go out. Pipes burst and the floor turns into a slide. Guests get thirsty, hungry and impatient, and a neglected party empties out. Repairs need your hands, and your hands can't hold a photo at the same time.

And it is still a party

Slap people. Throw plates. Drop banana peels. Shoot a foam gun. Drag someone across the floor and kick them out the door. Dance.
