This demo is one slice of PARAGON 21. Play a full first round as Leonidas — from a single soldier to an army of one million — in about 20 minutes.

The weapon is 21

Both sides draw cards toward 21. Make it exactly, and your warrior's technique fires.

Here's the core of it: which technique fires depends on how many cards you used. A two-card 21 — a blackjack — is the heaviest strike in the game. Every warrior carries four techniques, one per hand size. For Leonidas, two cards is Thermopylae; five is Last Stand. Same 21, entirely different weight.

Two cards they can't see

Two face-down cards sit in front of you at all times. Play one to the table, pull one back, rebuild the whole hand — none of it costs a turn.

Your opponent only knows how many you're hiding. You can stop at 19 and look finished — while a 2 waits face-down, and only you know it's there. Every mind game in this duel runs through those two cards.
