About Monster Adventure Studio

Your monsters. Your world. Your rules.
You've imagined the monsters. You've planned the first town. Now give them a game to live in.
Monster Adventure Studio is a game-making toolkit built specifically for creature-collector RPGs. Create your cast, build your world, set up battles and story events, then jump straight into a playtest. The core tools are visual: no coding required.
Still not convinced?
Here's what else you can put into your adventure:
A monster roster that's truly yours. Define species, stats, types, learnsets and transformation rules. Create custom moves, abilities, items and held items to give your monsters their own identities.
Battles with depth. Build single and double battles with custom status effects, multi-effect abilities and weather. Add Confirmed Hits moves when you want an attack to bypass accuracy and dodge checks.
Optional EVs and IVs. Give individual monsters their own potential and training, with configurable wild values, stat-training items and event commands. Prefer a simpler game? Leave the system switched off.
Exp. Share your way. Create a held item that gives non-battling monsters a chosen percentage of XP, or make its sharing effect party-wide.
A visual event system. Build conversations, choices, shops, rewards and story progression with event pages, switches, variables and conditional branches. Reorder commands by dragging them, and reuse logic through Common Events.
Screens that fit your game. Shape your title screen, dialogue, battle HUD and menus with visual designers. Drag and resize supported elements, choose colors, add a custom menu cursor, and use retro screen styles when you want that classic handheld feel.
Encounter-by-encounter atmosphere. Set up encounter pools and give each one its own battle background. Build routes, towns and interiors with layered maps, animated tiles and your own imported artwork.
More life between battles. Set up monster followers, wandering NPCs, bicycles, swimming and flying. Add breeding, daycare and eggs, then let players organize their growing collection across multiple monster boxes.
Built-in sprite creation. Use Creator Studio's Character, Monster and Tamer tools to assemble and customize sprites, or import artwork you've made yourself.
A community to create with. Discover and share community monsters through Steam Workshop. For creators who want to go further, the Plugin SDK provides a route to custom extensions.
Start with one map. Learn as you build.
You don't have to figure everything out on your own. Scorchirp University provides guided, in-engine lessons covering the tools and systems, from your first creations to more advanced eventing and monster training. Build something small, test it, and add the next piece when you're ready.
Make it. Play it. Share it.
Test your adventure inside the editor and export standalone Windows games for others to play. Experimental Godot project export is also available if you want to take your project into Godot; it is still in development and isn't complete yet.
Your first route. Your first rival. Your first wonderfully weird little monster. Let's make them real.
