About Kodoku:As the Moon Mourns

Kodoku is a single-player survival horror game.

Within an otherworld sealed inside a jar, players must gather “Souls” while hiding from relentless, nightmarish creatures.

■ Into the Jar-Bound Otherworld

The protagonist, Urohoshi, a university professor of folklore, journeys deep into the mountains in search of a friend who vanished without a trace—drawn there by a grotesque statue of Kannon.

After leaping into a massive jar found at the site, Urohoshi awakens in an otherworld ruled entirely by monsters.

A man whose head is fused with a jar.

A skeleton dragging an enormous ox cart.

In a realm dominated by grotesque beings, Urohoshi encounters a solitary young girl.

“For my sake, gather souls within the jar.”

Thus begins Urohoshi’s journey—to survive, and to return alive to the world of the living…

■ Features

• First-Person Survival Horror

You can slow monsters and abominations, but you cannot defeat them.

Press onward through darkness while fighting the terror of being hunted.

• Collect Souls

Explore each stage and gather glowing souls scattered throughout the environment.

Once the required number is reached, escape through a torii gate.

• Master the Jar

The jar you carry can be thrown after collecting enough souls.

Use it to divert enemy attention or activate switches for overhead doors.

■ A World of Beautiful Finality

The otherworld inside the jar is filled with someone’s regrets and trauma.

Blazing wastelands. Bottomless ravines. Temples steeped in hollow splendor.

At the end of this solitary journey, what truth awaits Urohoshi――?
